Up to six new regional centres will open in England by 2026, in addition to the two opened this year, to provide gender healthcare services for children and teenagers under 18 years old, NHS England has announced.1
The services will provide holistic healthcare for children and teenagers with gender incongruence and gender dysphoria, including screening for neurodevelopmental disorders and a mental health assessment.
