Doctors with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions are being bullied by colleagues at work and struggle to get support from the NHS, a BMA report warns.
The BMA surveyed 801 doctors and medical students who had a disability or a neurodivergent condition such as autism or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Interim results showed that a third (34%) reported having experienced bullying or harassment related to their disability or long term health condition in their current or most recent place of work or study.1
