A six year study tracking the long term health of over 3000 young people attending the NHS service for gender incongruence will begin recruitment shortly.1
The Puberty Suppression and Transitional Healthcare with Adaptive Youth Services (Pathways) Horizon study, led by King’s College London and co-sponsored by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, is set to be the largest global study of its kind. It will track how participants feel about their bodies, their mental and physical health, and their ability to participate in education and other activities through annual questionnaires.
