US vice president Kamala Harris has condemned the “healthcare crisis” brought on by former president Donald Trump’s abortion bans after reports that two women died “preventable” deaths because they did not receive abortion care.
Harris, the Democrat presidential candidate, said, “This story is, sadly, not the only story of what has been happening since these bans have taken place.” In an interview with Oprah Winfrey1 Harris condemned Trump for overturning Roe v Wade and unleashing “Trump abortion bans” that are criminalising doctors and bringing women “to death’s door” before they get the care they need.
